The MMR

This topic tends to be very controversial. However, now that Edward is one, I am faced with the decision. I would appreciate any advice or information on this shot. How do you feel about the MMR vaccination? Would you vaccinate your child with this shot knowing the things that you've heard in the last year or so? Have you or your child been affected negatively by getting this shot? Also, are there other vaccinations that you have concerns about? Is it necessary to have the varicella vaccination? What do you think?

Edward's Party

We made it through the big day. Edward seemed to really enjoy all his friends, family, cake, balloons, gifts...etc. However, no one told me that it's the day or two after the party that's the hard part. I think he partied a little too hard and now we are all paying for it. Maybe tomorrow will be a little better.

Edward Beckham Heller is ONE today. We feel incredibly blessed and we praise the Lord for each and every single day that he has been with us. John and my greatest desire and continual prayer for Edward is that he will ask the Lord Jesus to be his savior. We love you so much Edward!

Party Time

A week long celebration has begun around our home because Edward turns ONE on Saturday. Last night we started with the infamous restaurant, Hickory Park. Edward LOVED when all the waitresses circled around him to sing. However, his favorite part was getting the "Merry-go-round" ice cream sundae. YUM!
We are planning to have the big party this Saturday night. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions when planning a one year old party? I actually want to keep things pretty simple. My main goal is to have fun with Edward, family, and friends. We'll post pics when available.
We had another party this week with my mom, a few of my sisters, and our dear friend Iola. She has truly adopted all of us as part of her family. Iola has diligently made birthday cakes for each of us (TEN) Rinehart children for years. We love her so much and thank the Lord for placing her in our lives.

Wedding in Waterloo

John, Edward, and I went to Kim (Rutzmoser) Barker's wedding this last weekend. It was beautiful and a lot of fun seeing a few familiar faces from my days at Emmaus. It was also great seeing Caleb and my sister Katy who was one of her bridesmaids.

Moving on up!

Edward FINALLY got his new car seat in the mail yesterday. As you can see, he isn't too excited yet. We hope that he will like car rides a little better now. Thanks for all the advice!
