Summer Storms

These are the results from some major rain, hail, and wind Sunday night at my parents farm. Huge trees fell down or were uprooted, branches were everywhere and power lines happened to be in the trees downward path. Pictures really don't capture the full destruction. They are still working on electricity. Amazingly, no one was home at the time and the house, most buildings, and cars are all fine. Now its time for a HUGE bonfire.

Wow! I can't believe there will be no more mowing around those trees. It's crazy! Miss you!

Crazy! So glad it didn't damage the house or any cars. Sad though, those trees were pretty.

wow! those are big trees. its amazing that their wasn't more damage! I also have to say in response to Ragbrai - one of my aunts had the pleasure of passing out water and stuff the year Matthew Mcconaughey and Lance Armstrong rode. I wanted to come help her, but she thought they would have enough people.......

That is nature's way it seems- we thought our trees would never recover from the last ice storm, but they are even blooming from trees that lost every branch. Glad nobody was harmed.
